Christmas – from Adam’s perspective

Adam smiled. It was the moment he had hoped for. Finally, Eve’s seed was going to restore what he had lost in Eden that tragic day: Dominion

Dominion…

Sigh… The flashback started again. He’d gotten used to it anyhow…he closed his eyes

***

The Genesis, Eden – Man’s original state:

Men nowadays had a messed up perception of God. But Adam remembered the first meeting with Him after he first opened his eyes, aware of his existence and purpose. He remembered communing directly with El Elyon – his Father, his Maker, the great King and Sovereign ruler of all creation and the universe. He remembered how He knew God as He was originally known, no messed up perceptions.

It was a daily necessity for Adam – those meetings in the cool of the day. Adam shook his head as he observed how his descendants completely blocked out the need for God in their daily lives. He wished he could tell them that in the beginning when Man was made, he hit the ground running full-steam in a solid relationship with God – this was bone-deep essential to executing his earthly mandate of ruling the earth. It had nothing to do with religion – but everything to do with government. For the purpose of government, was man made. For the purpose of government, was Man’s relationship with God established. But it was a forgotten purpose – more so one that got corrupted.

You see, God had given him the legal authority over the earth. God was King in Heaven, but when it came to matters of carrying out his Will on earth as it was already in Heaven, God decided to make Man and bestow upon Man that responsibility.

In order for God to influence the earth and any events that occurred there, He had to follow protocol by going through the chain of command that He had established himself – He had to go through Adam. Not through an angel, not through a fallen angel, not through an animal. It had to be a Man.

Adam was the first king that ruled a portion of the earth (Eden). He was designed to be rightful king and ruler. For

  1. He had a spirit that could communicate with God – El Elyon, the Sovereign Ruler – to get daily direction for ruling the earth,
  2. He had a soul that God specifically designed with:
    a. The intellect that he needed to plan and execute those plans in partnership with God in order to see his vision come to pass
    b. The personal will that could choose whether to let God influence the earth or not to (God designed Man such that Man was literally the only being that stood between Him and the earth)
    c. The emotions that uniquely defined him as a Man;
  3. He had a body – the physical component of Man composed of the same matter (dirt) of the earth he was predestined to rule – which validated his right to rule the earth. Man, with a physical body was the legal authority of dominion over the earth – no other spirit being or animal shared that same design and the authority. It was an eternal decree made by God. It would never change. If you didn’t meet the definition of a Man – you simply had no legal influence.

Man’s body was no ordinary body either. It was specifically designed by God to be compatible for divine in-habitation by his Holy Spirit. (Any other spirit – apart from a Man’s own or the Holy Spirit – that entered a Man’s body on invitation would end up in bodily abuse. It would be a breach of design).

Man’s body also had a unique substance called blood. It was a substance that only Man and animals possessed – not angels. Adam remembered and was grateful – for it was only by blood could his own sin be covered. The fallen angels did not have any blood to cover their sin.

No other animal or spirit being in all of God’s previous creations was like Man. Man was made in God’s image and likeness. It was a total first. Man would extend Heaven’s Kingdom culture to the earth. He was responsible for bringing heaven to earth.

The earth therefore functioned well when Man was ruling well as designed. It was a kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy. It was a kingdom that was eternal – For he was eternal himself.

Ah… yes; Adam slowly shook his head with regret as he remembered: he used to have an immortal body.

He remembered God commanding both his wife and him to be fruitful and multiply, filling the earth with more immortal kings to rule the earth.

He chuckled to himself – the angels couldn’t multiply. They surely must have gazed in wonder when God made the woman.

The Fall

The woman … the apple … his chuckle faded almost as quickly as it started. Why oh why did he allow her to take it?

But what was done was done. He had botched up his own rule. By disobeying his Heavenly Father he had unwittingly given his legal right of dominion over to a fallen angel – a being that did not even qualify for that role (for satan had no valid body specifically designed to be inhabited by God).

Creation’s reaction to the fatal handover-takeover was immediate. The natural order of dominion was breached, and God placed the ground under a curse because of Man’s decision.

The earth would never be the same again with a fallen angel in charge instead of the Man – the lawful ruler. It would never function well. In fact, it has been groaning ever since, awaiting Man to take his rightful position of dominion.

And in fact, Man forgot his purpose to the extent that he allowed creation to dominate his life, instead of the other way around: He worshiped the sun and made gods out of the animals; fermented grapes and fruits controlled his behavior; the smoke of certain leaves he burnt and inhaled controlled his behavior; he looked to the stars for the stars to tell him his life’s purpose and predict the future… it was so messed up – because whatever information he acquired from those so-called god’s and drugs and the stars only led to a decay in morals, corrupt government, and further confusion about his purpose. What could you expect from being subject to the prince of darkness (confusion)? And that led to the land spitting Man out (the trees died, the animals left, the rivers dried).

Adam shook his head again in sorrow…He had chosen to hand his own authority over the earth to a being totally unfit for running it. In doing so, he lost his one vital connection with his Father, for he literally declared independence of government from God. He was on his own – with a creepy serpent.

And the best part was that he had done so legally.

Of course, he was in charge right? God will never override Man’s will. Whatever that happened on earth was because Adam allowed it to happen – not God.

(That means if you start a war – you started it. Not God. If you make the third world nations poor and the first world nations rich – you allowed it. If you worshiped demons and got insane, you allowed it – the demons only waited for you to give them permission. And who pulled your pants zipper down in the hotel room when you screwed the other man’s wife? Was it the devil or God? Or was it the woman? No, it was you. And you live with the consequences of a broken home; and maybe a broken arm too – courtesy of the husband).

Oh yeah, you can willfully make the wrong decision legally. You just have to count the cost first, or live with the consequences.

The worst case is to make the wrong decision legally out of your own ignorance. So be careful, if you are a Man (in two genders – male or female), then you already have the legal right to influence the earth. Whatever the direction of the influence depends on you, for as the Man goes, so does society and creation.

Adam’s eyes watered as he remembered. Surely God must have watched in sorrow as Adam took the apple and ate. ‘Adam, where are you?’ He could still hear those words echoing down through time… words of a heartbroken Father.

The Promise

But wait!

There was still hope.

In the midst of the tragedy, God gave Adam hope. The woman’s seed would take back what was lost.

Adam’s attitude towards her changed and he decided not to dump her. So soon after the verdict, Adam named her Eve – Mother of all living – and then he got straight to work populating the earth.

Well, of course, he had no idea how long he had to wait to see the Promised One to be born.

He rubbed his eyes, returning from his flashback.

***

He could see the kings from the east enter the stable, offering Jesus the gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Yes. This was the Seed.

He would restore Man back to his original state. He would return Man back to his position of dominion over the earth. He would re-introduce Kingdom philosophy and culture. He would restore Man’s original relationship with God, his Father. He would make it possible for man to receive an immortal body again. By Grace He would make it possible for God’s Holy Spirit to inhabit Man’s body again even in its corrupted state – as a guarantee for a new, immortal, upgraded and incorruptible body at the resurrection. He would destroy death, sin and the devil and make it possible for others to live out their full potential as rightful kings over the earth.

Oh, Adam couldn’t wait to see the look on satan’s face when Jesus would stride up to him and snatch the title back. The serpent could only bruise His heel, but He would crush his head. The age-old strife between the seeds of the serpent and the woman would experience a massive change in the tide. Jesus would take the upper hand – forever.

God’s Kingdom and Will was going to advance on the earth with the entry of Jesus Christ, the King. For ages Man had governed the earth in ignorance and under subjection to the wrong person, the devil. The kingdom of darkness had prevailed after Eden, subtly influencing matters on earth using men. That was going to change. But not without a fight. Adam knew everything would eventually boil down to the battle between both kingdoms for dominion over the earth.

Adam slowly shook his head again. Jesus was going to return original Kingdom philosophy back to the earth. That would be a tough one to swallow for those raised in the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle and Socrates. Man is not originally designed to govern the earth through democracy. Democracy was invented to protect mankind from itself from corrupted kingship’s-turned-dictatorships due to Man’s sinful nature. Adam sighed – he was responsible for that; but was glad anyhow that Jesus came to set things right.

Oh, yes – and Jesus would definitely make enemies with religious people who thought they understood God. Adam sighed again. He knew God exists whether you choose to believe or not. Due to his fault, his offspring had lived their lives in separation from their Heavenly Father for so long they developed messed up philosophies about God. Some said there was no God, some said there was a God – but had misconceptions about Him; and still there were those who didn’t care if there was a God or not.

Jesus would prove them wrong. He would prove that knowing God personally is a normal function of a Man. But it is nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with government over the earth. (Not over other people, but over the earth).

Adam couldn’t wait to see Jesus speak and calm the wind just like how he (Adam) used to do back in Eden. Or to see him speak to the fig trees to bear fruit or not to, and see the trees respond.

Oh sure – even the wind and waves obey any man who is functioning in this original state.

Imagine a third-world country returning back to God through Jesus, and having their land healed – the curse lifted.

The earth would naturally respond joyfully to the original order of rule being restored. Imagine all the farmers telling the crops to yield, telling the rain to fall, and commanding the typhoons to go around the other way. Watch out for the boom in the economy.

Dominion … yeah, now that’s dominion.

If a Man lost dominion over the earth, only a Man could take it back – not God. Yet it was an impossible feat for Man to accomplish. And so God prepared a body for Himself, and became a Man.

A new Genesis was in store for mankind: The second Adam had arrived.

“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord shall accomplish this” Isaiah 9:6-7
